เชียงรายเตรียมจัดงาน "สืบสานประเพณีนมัสการและสรงน้ำพระธาตุดอยตุง ประจำปี 2569" 2-3 มีนาคมนี้

ส่วนประชาสัมพันธ์มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ร่วมงานแถลงข่าวจัดขึ้นโดยจังหวัดเชียงรายเพื่อเปิดตัวงาน "สืบสานประเพณีนมัสการและสรงน้ำพระธาตุดอยตุง ประจำปี 2569" ภายใต้ธีม "2008 ปีสืบมา หกเป็งล่องฟ้า ไหว้สาพระธาตุดอยตุง" โดยมีกำหนดจัดงานระหว่างวันที่ 2-3 มีนาคม 2569 ณ วัดพระธาตุดอยตุง ตำบลห้วยไคร้ อำเภอแม่สาย จังหวัดเชียงราย

พิธีแถลงข่าวจัดขึ้นเมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 20 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 เวลา 15.00 น. ณ ลานจริงใจ ชั้น G ศูนย์การค้าเซ็นทรัลเชียงราย โดยมี นายประสงค์ หล้าอ่อน รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดเชียงราย นายพิสันต์ จันทร์ศิลป์ วัฒนธรรมจังหวัดเชียงราย และนางสาวยุรีพรรณ แสนใจยา ผู้อำนวยการการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย สำนักงานเชียงราย ร่วมแถลงข่าวกิจกรรมสำคัญของจังหวัดเชียงรายแก่ผู้สื่อข่าว

งานนมัสการและสรงน้ำพระธาตุดอยตุงเป็นประเพณีสำคัญที่สืบทอดกันมาแต่โบราณกาล โดยกำหนดประกอบพิธีในวันเพ็ญขึ้น 15 ค่ำ เดือน 4 หรือเดือนหกเหนือของทุกปี ซึ่งในปี 2569 ตรงกับวันอังคารที่ 3 มีนาคม จัดขึ้นโดยจังหวัดเชียงราย ร่วมกับคณะสงฆ์จังหวัดเชียงราย และพุทธศาสนิกชนในพื้นที่ เพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้พุทธศาสนิกชนทั่วประเทศและประเทศใกล้เคียงได้สักการะบูชาพระธาตุดอยตุง พร้อมทั้งส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมของจังหวัด และรักษาสืบสานขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณีล้านนาอันดีงามให้คงอยู่สืบไป

Mae Fah Luang University’s Public Relations Division participated in a provincial press conference announcing the upcoming "Doi Tung Relic Veneration and Water- Pouring Tradition 2026." Hosted by Chiang Rai Province, this year’s celebration carries the theme "2,008 Years of Continuity — Hok Peng Long Fa, Homage to Phra That Doi Tung." The ceremony is set to take place on March 2–3, 2026 at the historic Wat Phra That Doi Tung, Huai Khrai Sub-district, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai.

The press conference, held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Central Chiang Rai, brought together key figures to highlight the significance of this sacred occasion. . Mr. Prasong La-on, Deputy Governor of Chiang Rai Province, joined Mr. Phisan Chansilp, Chiang Rai Provincial Cultural Officer, and Ms. Yuripan Saenjaiya, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Chiang Rai Office, in presenting the program and key highlights of the celebration to members of the press and the public.

Deeply embedded in centuries of Lanna heritage, the Doi Tung Relic Veneration is observed each year on the full moon of the fourth lunar month—referred to in the Northern Thai calendar as the sixth month, or Hok Peng. . In 2026, this auspicious day falls on Tuesday, March 3.
Jointly organized by the Chiang Rai Provincial Administration, the provincial Sangha, and the local Buddhist communities, the festival welcomes devotees from across Thailand and neighboring countries in a shared act of reverence and merit-making. Beyond its religious significance, the event highlights Chiang Rai’s distinctive cultural identity, promoting cultural tourism and ensuring that these cherished traditions continue to thrive for generations to come.
