[English Below] สมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า กรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดา ฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี เสด็จพระราชดำเนินแทนพระองค์ พระราชทานปริญญาบัตรแก่บัณฑิตมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ประจำปีการศึกษา 2567 ณ หอประชุมสมเด็จย่า มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง อำเภอเมืองเชียงราย จังหวัดเชียงราย ในวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 12 มีนาคม 2569

ก่อนพิธีพระราชทานปริญญาบัตร เสด็จพระราชดำเนินไปยังพระราชานุสาวรีย์สมเด็จพระศรีนครินทราบรมราชชนนี ทรงวางพุ่มดอกไม้และทรงจุดธูปเทียนเครื่องทองน้อยถวายราชสักการะ เพื่อน้อมรำลึกถึงพระมหากรุณาธิคุณของสมเด็จพระบรมราชชนนีผู้ทรงเป็นต้นกำเนิดแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง

ในพิธีครั้งนี้ ทรงพระราชทานปริญญาดุษฎีบัณฑิตกิตติมศักดิ์แก่ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ โดยมีผู้เข้าเฝ้าฯ รับพระราชทาน 2 ราย ได้แก่ ศาสตราจารย์ไชยยศ เหมะรัชตะ และศาสตราจารย์คลินิกเกียรติคุณ นายแพทย์อุดม คชินทร พร้อมทั้งพระราชทานรางวัลเชิดชูเกียรติ "ตุงทองคำ" แก่นายนคร พงษ์น้อย ผู้อำนวยการอุทยานศิลปวัฒนธรรมไร่แม่ฟ้าหลวง ในฐานะผู้มีคุณูปการอย่างยิ่งต่อการอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูศิลปวัฒนธรรมล้านนา จากนั้นทรงพระราชทานปริญญาบัตรแก่บัณฑิตรวมทั้งสิ้น 2,765 ราย ในจำนวนนี้เป็นนักศึกษาต่างชาติจาก 23 ประเทศทั่วโลก และมีผู้สำเร็จการศึกษาที่มีความพิการเข้ารับพระราชทานปริญญาบัตรอีก 6 ราย

โอกาสนี้ ทรงมีพระราโชวาทแก่บัณฑิต ทรงเน้นย้ำให้ยึดมั่นในความสัตย์จริงเป็นคุณสมบัติสำคัญที่บัณฑิตพึงปลูกฝังและอบรมให้เจริญงอกงาม เพราะการนำความรู้ความสามารถไปใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์แก่ตนเอง ครอบครัว สังคม และประเทศชาตินั้น จะสำเร็จผลได้ก็ต่อเมื่อตั้งอยู่บนพื้นฐานของความสัตย์จริงเท่านั้น

ภายหลังเสร็จสิ้นพิธี ขณะเสด็จพระราชดำเนินออกจากหอประชุม นักศึกษาได้ขับร้องบทเพลง "ใต้แสงพระเมตตานิรันดร์" เพื่อน้อมสำนึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณและเทิดพระเกียรติ โดยบรรจุเนื้อร้องถึง 5 ภาษา ได้แก่ ภาษาไทย ภาษาปกาเกอะญอ ภาษาไทใหญ่ ภาษาเมียนมาร์ และภาษา Poe Karen พร้อมด้วยนักดนตรีจากหลากกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ร่วมบรรเลงเครื่องดนตรีอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของแต่ละกลุ่ม ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเตหน่าของปกาเกอะญอ ซือบือของลีซู ตอยอฮอร์นของไทใหญ่ รวมถึงเครื่องดนตรีล้านนา สะท้อนอัตลักษณ์พหุวัฒนธรรมของมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงในฐานะสถาบันอุดมศึกษาแห่งอนุภูมิภาคลุ่มน้ำโขง

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn represented His Majesty the King in conferring degrees upon graduates of Mae Fah Luang University for the Academic Year 2024. The ceremony was held at the Mae Fah Luang University Auditorium, Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province, on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

Upon arrival at the university and prior to the commencement ceremony, Her Royal Highness proceeded to the monument of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra, the Princess Mother, where she laid a floral tribute and lit candles and incense in homage, in remembrance of the royal benevolence of the Princess Mother, whose vision inspired the founding of Mae Fah Luang University.

During the ceremony, Her Royal Highness conferred honorary doctoral degrees upon distinguished individuals.Two recipients were present to receive their degrees in person — Professor Chaiyos Hemaratchata and Professor Clinical Emeritus Dr. Udom Kachinthorn. On this occasion, Her Royal Highness also presented the "Golden Tung" Award — the university's highest honour in arts and culture — to Mr. Nakorn Phongnoi, Director of the Mae Fah Luang Art and Cultural Park, in recognition of his outstanding and sustained contributions to the preservation and revitalisation of Lanna arts and culture.
Her Royal Highness then conferred degrees upon a total of 2,806 graduates, including 174 international students from 23 countries worldwide, and six graduates with disabilities.

In her royal address to the graduates, Her Royal Highness emphasised that steadfast in truth is an essential virtue that graduates should cultivate and uphold. She further noted that knowledge and ability can bring genuine benefit to oneself, one's family, society, and the nation only when grounded in honesty and integrity, and cautioned that falsehood and distortion cause not only personal harm but grave damage to society as a whole.

Upon the conclusion of the ceremony, as Her Royal Highness departed the auditorium, students performed the song "Tai Saeng Phra Metta Niran" (Under the Eternal Light of Royal Grace) in tribute and gratitude for the royal benevolence. The performance featured lyrics in five languages — Thai, Pgaz K'Nyau (Karen), Tai Yai (Shan), Burmese, and Poe Karen — accompanied by musicians from diverse ethnic communities performing traditional instruments distinctive to their cultures, including the ‘teh-na’ of the Pgaz K'Nyau, the ‘sue-baw’ of the Lisu, the ‘toi-yor-horn’ of the Tai Yai, as well as traditional Lanna instruments — a vivid reflection of the multicultural identity of Mae Fah Luang University as a higher education institution of the Greater Mekong Subregion.
